He also manufactured guitars for B&M (distributed in the UK) Lowden, Sherry-Brener and a few guitars for Alvarez of. He sold guitars under a number of labels including Sadao Yairi, Yairi Gakki, S. K Yairi was a master luthier and craftsman. Sadao or Sada Yairi was a guitar maker and guitar manufacturer from Nagoya, Japan who was active from the 1960s to the 1990s. Over and over, those of us fortunate enough to work with K Yairi have been struck with the parallels between this guitar artisan and other fine artists. This style of work requires incredible patience and knowledge, as well as a vision of the future and requirements. Kazuo died in 2014, but his guitar building workshop continues under the team of master. Born in 1932, Kazuo Yairis workshop is based in the beautiful mountainside area of Kani, Japan and his handmade guitars have been owned by the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and Carlos Santana.
